Rental Caskets for Burial
A rental casket has a removable interior. Therefore, the deceased is placed in a wooden box and the box is placed inside the casket. The body never touches the casket and the wooden box is easily removed after the service. The deceased can then be buried in the simple wooden box. The Funeral Home can then re-use the rental casket.
The reason for renting a casket is the cost is less and burying the deceased in a wooden casket is an environmentally friendly option. Many Funeral Homes offer rental caskets.
